A Journey of Growth, Healing, and Human Connection
My path to psychotherapy wasn’t linear. I first trained as a Civil Engineer in Peru, and after moving to the UK and losing both my parents, everything shifted. That profound grief became a gateway into deeper purpose — ultimately leading me to retrain in psychology and counselling.
I learned that healing is always possible—even after profound loss—and that it’s never too late to begin again. That belief continues to shape the way I work with clients.
Now, I support teenagers (13+) and adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, OCD, relationship difficulties, psychosexual concerns, grief, burnout, and life transitions. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, working online across the UK and internationally, as well as face-to-face in the Cotswolds.
I’m a BABCP Accredited CBT Psychotherapist, EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, Counsellor, and Psychosexually Informed Therapist. Throughout my career, I have worked across NHS services, charities, private practice, and corporate healthcare settings, supporting people from diverse cultural, professional, and personal backgrounds.
My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, combining genuine human connection with therapies including Counselling, CBT and EMDR, ACT, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, DBT skills, and Mindfulness. My trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach is designed to support deep healing and emotional resilience.
As a bilingual therapist working in English and Spanish, and as a mother and co-parent, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience. My intention is to meet you where you are, create a clear therapeutic plan, and support steady, meaningful growth—so that you can relate to yourself and others with greater clarity, compassion, and confidence.
Healing is not about becoming someone different. It is about reconnecting with the person you already are beneath the pain, uncertainty, and patterns that may be holding you back.
How I Work
My therapeutic approach is personalised and integrative. I tailor therapy to your individual needs, drawing on evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, Psychosexual Therapy, and Mindfulness, and other evidence-based modalities.
Depending on your goals, our work may focus on understanding patterns that keep you stuck, processing difficult experiences, developing practical coping strategies, improving relationships, strengthening self-compassion, or creating meaningful behavioural change. My work is grounded in NICE-recommended approaches and informed by ongoing professional development.
My Peruvian roots and connection to traditional healing also influence my work. Alongside my psychotherapy training, I have undertaken postgraduate training in psychedelics and mental health, which contributes to a holistic and culturally sensitive perspective that integrates scientific understanding with respect for human experience, intuition, and personal meaning.
Experience and Client Work
I have worked with children, adolescents and adults across NHS services, schools, charities and private practice, supporting people from diverse cultural, professional and personal backgrounds.
My experience includes:
CAMHS, schools and community counselling services — delivering both brief and longer-term therapeutic interventions for young people and families.
National charities — including Macmillan, Mind, Samaritans and Place2Be, as well as domestic-abuse support services.
NHS Practitioner Health Programme (PHP) — providing psychological support to doctors and other healthcare professionals experiencing stress, burnout, anxiety, trauma and work-related challenges.
Private practice — supporting teenagers (13+) and adults with anxiety, OCD, trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, psychosexual concerns, grief, life transitions and personal growth.
Bilingual therapy (English and Spanish) — working with clients across the UK and internationally, including expatriates, multicultural families and individuals navigating cultural transitions.
I’m a recognised provider for AXA Health, Aviva, Bupa, WPA, Allianz Care, Healix, and Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions (GeoBlue), helping insured clients access high-quality psychological care with ease.
