Expert emotional support for teenagers — and peace of mind for parents (Ages 13–17)
Adolescence is a time of rapid change, emotional ups and downs, and growing pressure — from school, social media, and the world around them. If your teen is feeling anxious, low, withdrawn, or simply not themselves, teen counselling offers a safe space to be heard, understood, and supported.
As a psychotherapist specialising in working with young people, I offer a warm, trauma-informed approach that helps teens build confidence, emotional resilience, and healthy coping strategies — all while feeling respected and never judged.
An Integrative & Evidence-Based Approach
I draw on a range of therapies — including Counselling, CBT, EMDR, and Compassion-Focused Therapy — to suit your teen’s unique needs, personality, and pace. Whether they’re navigating stress, self-doubt, or family tensions, we tailor sessions to help them feel stronger and more in control.

What to Expect
The process starts with getting to know your teen — what’s going on, what matters to them, and what kind of support might help. The first session is usually an assessment, shaping the direction of therapy and ensuring they feel safe and heard from the start.
Sessions are online and adapted to your teen’s comfort. Some include practical tools like psychoeducation or body-based techniques; others focus on talking things through. We’ll find what works best.
Parental involvement is always considered based on your teen’s age and preferences — we’ll agree together what feels most supportive.
Common Issues I Support Teens With:
Emotional Wellbeing: Anxiety, low mood, panic, anger, or emotional overwhelm
Self-Esteem & Identity: Self-doubt, perfectionism, not feeling “good enough”
Relationships & Family: Friendship problems, school pressures, family conflict
Social Challenges: Peer pressure, isolation, social anxiety or difficulty fitting in
Life Changes: Exam stress, bereavement, moving schools
Trauma: Bullying, accidents, emotional or physical trauma
Self-Harm & Coping: Safer strategies for distress or intrusive thoughts
Session Details
Sessions are 60 minutes, held online, and available worldwide.
Most teens benefit from weekly or fortnightly sessions, but we’ll decide together what feels most helpful and sustainable.
How to Begin:
Submit an enquiry form – A parent or guardian fills out a short form to share what kind of support you’re looking for. You’ll have the option to request a free 15-minute video call.
Optional video call – A brief Zoom call with you and your teen to talk through what’s going on, ask questions, and see if it feels like a good fit.
Book the first session – If we’re both happy to move forward, I’ll send you all the details and we’ll arrange your first session.
